Beaver: The City, Not the Animal
This evening we received a curious phone call at the Gallery. A woman was inquiring about the movie we would be showing later that night. She had seen listings for the film in a couple of different local newspapers and was confused as to the content of the feature. She wanted to make sure that Beaver Trilogy was indeed about beavers, the lovable, flat-tailed, buck-toothed river denizens since she was a professed fan of the beaver. She was informed that it was, in fact, about an eccentric young man who lived in Beaver, Utah, and not about the furry dam builders. When I got home after the movie, I picked up a copy of the Gazette to find our event listed on page 2.
Her confusion became understandable.
