    Settlers of Catan-a-Thon

    Settlers of Catan-a-Thon

This last Saturday we bid adieu to our exhibition, Manifest: Colonial Tendencies of the West with a game-a-thon featuring Settlers of Catan. Territories were settled, resources were traded and we all groaned as seven was rolled way too many times. I can think of no better game to teach colonial tendencies than Settlers of Catan. Copies of the game were graciously furnished by Gamer’s Haven.

So as we all nestle into our beds on Thanksgiving Eve with visions of Squanto and pilgrims dancing in our heads, may we all remember those early colonists who suppressed the land and people around them to provide us with the life we now enjoy. Let us be truly thankful. Amen.
