    The Lab’s Glitter Power Gala

    The Lab Has Sparkle

As part of the general excitement in the Colorado art scene, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver is opening their brand-spankin’ new building next week with a “Star Power Gala.” For those of us who can’t afford the $1000/plate gala dinner with entertainment by Blackalicious, you can go over to The Lab’s own benefit dinner for the MCA.

Their Glitter Power Gala on Friday, October 26th will feature the a drag revue, a corn dog cook-off, a display of muscle cars, plus the fine features only The Lab can offer, namely majestic views of the Rocky Mountains, clean restrooms and a handsome display of rocks (seriously, they have a show of rocks).

Tickets to Glitter Power are only $1, or $12 for a table of twelve. If you’re picky about who you stand next to, they’ve designed a handy standing chart. Bring you friends, eat a corn dog, sip the champagne of beers and toast how fantastic the Denver art scene has become.
