DIY University: Kickstart Talent Show
| June 28, 2007 | ||
| 7:00 pm | to | 8:30 pm |
The Gallery of Contemporary Art, UCCS hosts DIY University’s Kickstart Talent Show. Each of the DIYU participants have honed a brand new talent over the last month and will present the fruits of their labor on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
DIY University provides a loose framework through which participants create, discuss, and collaborate in designing curriculum, presentations, and situations for acting and reacting. DIYU seeks to test and promote modes of teaching and learning that traditional avenues of education neglect. DIYU “classes” can include experimental lectures, film viewings, critiques, studio visits, brainstorming sessions, jogging tours, or garage sales. Participants take turns planning and leading the “classes.”
